PA1-29533 detects SOCS1 from human samples. PA1-29533 has been successfully used in immunoprecipitation, Western blot and ELISA applications. By Western blot, a band of ~24kDa is detedted in GH-treated HEK 293 cell lysates. The PA1-29533 immunogen is: Synthetic peptide: VLRDYLSSFPFQI, corresponding to amino acids 199-211of human SOCS 1 or 200-212 of the mouse SOCS 1.

Western blot was performed using Anti-SOCS1 Polyclonal Antibody(Product # PA1-29533) and 30 kDa band was observed corresponding to SOCS1 was observed across the cell lines and tissue tested along with induction of the band in RAW 264.7 upon LPS treatment. Modified whole cell extracts (1% SDS) (30ug lysate) of MCF-7 (Lane 1), B16-F10 (Lane 2), MDA-MB-231 (Lane 3), RAW264.7 (Lane 4),Raw 264.7 cells treated with LPS (1µg/ml for 6hrs) (Lane 5) and tissue extract of Rat Spleen (Lane 6) were electrophoresed using Novex® NuPAGE® 4-12 % Bis-Tris gel (Product # NP0322BOX). Resolved proteins were then transferred onto a nitrocellulose membrane (Product # IB23001) by iBlot® 2 Dry Blotting System (Product # IB21001). The blot was probed with the primary antibody (1µg/ml) and detected by chemiluminescence with Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) Superclonal™ Recombinant Secondary Antibody, HRP (Product # A27036, 1:4000 dilution) using the iBright FL 1000 (Product # A32752).
