Dear Antibodypedia User,

My name is Tove Alm and I’m the new curator for Antibodypedia. I would like to give you a short update of the current status of this initiative before going on summer vacation.

Antibodypedia Update

Antibodypedia has now returned to its academic root and is now hosted at the Science for Life Laboratory (www.scilifelab.se) by the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. The initiative with Nature was ended May 31st and the new organization is effective from June 1st 2013. The new organization will not affect the antibody listings: the conditions of use, our review process, or scoring system for the antibodies will not materially change.

At the moment we catalog almost 665,000 reviewed antibodies from 43 providers, covering gene-products encoded by 18,559 genes (approximately 90% of all human genes). Primary data from close to 387,000 experiments and more than 74,000 citations is available to support the listed antibodies.

At the end of May, Antibodypedia version 8 was released. Version 8 includes the following updates:

• Improved ranking of antibodies and providers considering reported references

• Simplified validation data submission

Please, don’t hesitate to contact me on contact@antibodypedia.com if you have any questions or thoughts on how we can improve our service to you. Your help makes possible our continued improvement.

Thanks for using Antibodypedia to find the right antibody for your application.

The Antibodypedia team wishes you a great summer!

Yours,

Tove Alm
