Description

Description: The 1F10 antibody specifically binds to human Leukemia Inhibitory Factor a cytokine which was primarily described as a product of activated T lymphocytes and macrophages. It is a variably glycosylated 180 amino acid protein of apparent molecular weight between 35 and 67 kDa depending on its source and glycosylation. The human LIF-gene is located on chromosome 22, the gene product is highly conserved between species. The multivarious nature of LIF is illustrated by its multiple ""discoveries"" under a variety of synonyms.
