Description

CD5 is a transmembrane glycoprotein monomer with an Mr of 67000. It possesses a large cytoplasmic domain suitable for signal transduction. CD5 appears early in thymocyte development, and is expressed at low density on thymocytes and at high density on all mature T lymphocytes. The specificity of Anti-CD5, is equivalent to that of the CD5-clustered antibody Leu-1.
