- Polyclonal
- Description
- Rabbit polyclonal to SLC16A1. Monocarboxylate transporter 1, also called SLC16A1 or MCT1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC16A1 gene. This gene is mapped to 1p13.2. This gene acts as Proton-linked monocarboxylate transporter. It catalyzes the movement of many monocarboxylates, such as lactate and pyruvate, across the plasma membrane. Mutations in this gene are associated with erythrocyte lactate transporter defect. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
