Product name
Rabbit Anti-Human S100P
Antibody type
Polyclonal
Antigen
Recombinant protein derived from Human S100P.
Description
S100 calcium-binding protein P (S100P) is one member of S100 family and shares 50% sequence identity with human S100A1 and 44% identity with S100B. S100P contains 2 EF-hands (calcium binding domains) with different affinities for Ca2+, Zn2+ and Mg2+, a central hinge region and the Cterminal extension. S100P presents in various normal tissues (such as lung, placenta, kidney, heart, bladder, spleen, bone marrow, prostate gland, and intestinal mucosa), malignant tissues (such as non-small-cell lung cancer, melanoma, gastric adenocarcinoma, ovarian, breast, colon and prostate carcinoma), and the body fluids (such as blood, pancreatic juice, tear, and urine). This antibody was produced from a rabbit immunized with the immunogen. The IgG fraction was purified from rabbitt serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.

Handling
Supplied as lyophilized and purified antibody originally containing PBS, without Preservative Stabilizers, such as Sodium Azide. The final concentration is indicated on the shipping vial. The antibody is stable for at least years from the data of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody (suggesting with sterile PBS) can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for months without detectable loss activity. Upon reconstitution, the antibody can also be stored over months at 4°C. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
