This affinity purified antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to aa 205-214 of Human Polo Kinase I (Plk1). Phosphorylation of Plk1 occurs on Thr210 for activation. Plk1 is involved in the mitotic spindle and mitosis and is associated with the phosphorylation of cyclin B1. From the amino acid sequence it is suggested that cross reactivity may occur against Plk1 from Mouse and Rat and Drosophila.
