Protein A or G purified from hybridoma culture supernatant. Detects human IL-11 in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In direct ELISAs and Western blots, 100% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-11 is observed and no cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) IL-6, rhCNTF, rhLIF, rhOSM, rhCLC, or rhCT-1 is observed.

Experimental details

Cell Proliferation Induced by IL-11 and Neutralization by Human IL-11 Antibody. Recombinant Human IL-11 (Catalog # 218-IL) stimulates proliferation in the T11 mouse plasmacytoma cell line in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). Proliferation elicited by Recombinant Human IL-11 (1 ng/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concen-trations of Mouse Anti-Human IL-11 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB218). The ND₅₀ is typically 5-15 µg/mL.
