- Description
- LKB1 (STK11) is a serine/threonine kinase and tumor suppressor that helps maintain cell structure, apoptosis, and energy homeostasis. LKB1 downstream pathways mainly include AMPK, microtubule affinity regulating kinase (MARK), salt-inducible kinase (SIK), sucrose non-fermenting protein-related kinase (SNRK), and brain selective kinase (BRSK). LKB1 gene is mutated in many cancers, and its protein can form different protein complexes in different cellular localizations in various cell types. Recent studies of mouse hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) revealed that LKB1 is critical for maintaining HSCs.

- Western blot analysis of cell lysates from 293E (lane 1), L929 (lane 2), and HeLa (lane 3) cells. Anti-LKB1 antibody (clone Ley37D/G6) was used and was followed by HRP anti-mouse IgG antibody. β-actin antibody (cllone poly6221) was used as a loading control.
