In cultured renal cells, it localizes diffusely in the cytoplasm but, as cells approach confluence, it accumulates to basolateral tight junctions; Tissue Specificity: Expressed in kidney, skeletal muscle, heart and liver, and to a lesser extent in brain and lung.
