Description

Neuropeptide B (NPB) is an endogenous peptide ligand for G protein-coupled receptor-7 (GPR7; MIM 600730). It may be involved in the regulation of feeding, neuroendocrine system, memory, learning and in the afferent pain pathway, by similarity. The deduced 125-amino acid prepropeptide contains an Nterminal 24-amino acid secretory signal and 2 diarginine (dibasic) motifs that are potential peptideprocessing sites. In rat, high expression was detected in lymphoid organs, central nervous system (CNS), mammary gland, and uterus. In situ hybridization of rat brain detected expression in hypothalamus and hippocampus. This antibody was produced from a rabbit immunized with this peptide conjugated with KLH. The IgG fraction was purified from rabbit serum by Protein G affinity chromatography
