The sequence of the epitope is: NH2-C-S-L-D-N-P-D-Y-Q-Q-D-F-F-P-K-E-COOH and corresponds to amino acids 1168-1180 ofthe EGFR molecule. Remarks: This maps to a region near the carboxy-terminus which is identical in human,mouse and rat EGFR. The amino terminal Cysteine was synthesized to facilitate carriercoupling.
