- The fluorochrome phycoerythrin (PE) shows an excitation maximum of 495 to 564 nm and an emission maximum of 576 nm. Annexin V conjugated to PE is suitable for the detection of PS and allows simple secondary labelling by staining, for example, the membrane surface proteins with a monoclonal antibody for further cellular characterization.
