- Description
- PA1-012 detects phospho-alpha-B crystallin (Ser59) from bovine, human and rat samples. This antibody does not detect the unphosphorylated form of the protein. PA1-012 has been successfully used in Western blot, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects an ~20 kDa protein representing recombinant bovine phospho-alpha-B crystallin (Ser59). Immunofluorescence staining of phospho-alpha-B crystallin (Ser59) in human brain from Alexander’s diseased patients results in staining of cells in the cerebral cortex. The PA1-012 immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to residues F(54) L R A P S(p) W I D T G(64) of human alpha-B Crystallin. Reconstitute in 100 µL PBS to create a stock of 1 mg/mL.
