- Product name
- anti-Interleukin 1, beta (IL1B) antibody
- Antibody type
- Polyclonal
- Antigen
- The whole rabbit serum used to produce this IgG fraction antibody was prepared by repeated immunizations with recombinant 153 aa human IL1 beta produced in E.coli. Remarks: The MW of the recombinant IL-1b was 17,000 with the N-terminal amino acid at position alanine 117. This is the cleavage site generated by the IL1 beta converting enzyme (ICE, capase-1).
- Description
- DEAE fractionation.
- Reactivity
- Human, Simian
- Host
- Rabbit
- Vial size
- 1 mg
- Concentration
- 2.0 mg/mL (by UV absorbance at 280 nm)
- Storage
- Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer.
- Handling
- Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. This product is photosensitive and should be protected from light.
Submitted references Sandwich ELISA formats designed to detect 17 kDa IL-1 beta significantly underestimate 35 kDa IL-1 beta.
