Description

This Histone H4 tetra-acetyl antibody (H4Ac) has been validated for use in Western blotting (0.5 - 2 µg/ml) and immunofluorescence (1 - 5 µg/ml). It primarily recognizes tetra-acetylated histone H4, secondarily recognizes tri-acetylated forms of histone H4 and faintly recognizes histone H2A acetylated at multiple lysines. The sequence of the immunogen from Tetrahymena hv1 has a high degree of homology to histone H4 in higher eukaryotes. Because this modification is conserved from yeast to human, a wide range of reactivity is expected.This antibody has not been validated in ChIP, but ChIP-validated antibodies are available for this target: 39179.
