Description

Fibroblast activation protein (FAP) is a cell surface glycoprotein serine protease involved in many cellular processes in extracellular matrix. It is involved in tissue remodeling, fibrosis, wound healing, inflammation, and tumor growth. While FAP expression is minimal in fibroblasts from normal adult tissues, it can be up-regulated in injured tissues, tumor stroma, and some solid tumor cells.
