Description

Rontalizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting interferon-alpha (IFN-¦Á). It binds to and neutralizes multiple subtypes of IFN-¦Á, a key cytokine in the pathogenesis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). It was developed to reduce disease activity by inhibiting IFN-¦Á-mediated immune activation and inflammation in SLE patients with an elevated interferon signature.
