Western Blot analysis of Caspase 3 was performed by loading Jurkat cells treated with camptothecin (2 µM). Proteins were transferred to a membrane and probed with a Caspase 3 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA1-26426).

Immunoexpression of cleavedcaspase3. Immunohistochemical expression of caspase-3 in the prostate sections from (a) group I (control) and (b) group II [fenofibrate (FEN) given group alone] showed negative expression. (c) Group III [benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) induced group] showing weak expression in scattered nuclei (arrows). (d) Group IV showing dense expression in the most of the acinar lining epithelium (arrow). (e) Group V (BPH induced group + FEN treatment) showing positive expression in a larger proportion of epithelial cells (arrows) x400. Semiquantitative analysis of cleaved caspase3. (f) Results showed significant increase in cleaved caspase 3 immunoexpression in BPH treated group with FEN (group V) in comparison with BPH (group III) induced group. Moreover, there is highly significant increase of its expression in BPH withdrawal group (group IV) in comparison with (group V) FEN + BPH group.
