- Description
- NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] iron-sulfur protein 4, mitochondrial (also known as CI-AQDQCI-18 kDa, Complex I-AQDQ, Complex I-18 kDa, Complex I 18kDa subunit, NADH-coenzyme Q reductase, 18-KDa, NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase 18 kDa subunit, NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) iron-sulfur protein 4, Mitochondrial respiratory chain complex I 18-KD subunit) is encoded by the NDUFS4 gene in human. The mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), or NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase, is the first multi-subunit enzyme complex of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. Complex I plays a vital role in cellular ATP production, the primary source of energy for many crucial processes in living cells. Complex I is composed of at least 41 subunits, of which 7 are encoded by the mitochondrial genome and the remainder by nuclear genes.

- Storage
- Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt. Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol containing solutions to become frozen during storage.
