- Description
- Rho GTPase-activating protein 1, also known as, CDC42 GTPase-activating protein or GTPase-activating protein rhoOGAP or Rho-related small GTPase protein activator or Rho-type GTPase-activating protein 1 or p50-RhoGAP, and encoded by the gene names ARHGAP1 or CDC42GAP or RHOGAP1, stimulates the intrinsic GTPases activity of Rho, Rac, and Cdc42, but shows definite preference for Rho. RhoGAP p190 contains an N-terminal GTPase domain and a C-terminal RhoGAP domain. The activity of RhoGAP p190 is known to be regulated by phosphorylation, by kinases such as Src that is stimulated by growth factor signaling or cell attachment and phosphorylate RhoGAP p190 in its central region. This ultimately leads to reduced RHO-GTP and decreased stress fibers.

- Storage
- Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt. Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol containing solutions to become frozen during storage.
