- Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.

- Western blot was performed using Anti-VEGF Receptor 1 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (SY09-09)(Product # MA5-32045) and a 180kDa band corresponding to VEGF Receptor 1 was observed across the cell lines and tissue tested. Whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of Hep G2 (Lane 1), T-47D (Lane 2), MDA-MB-231 (Lane 3), SK-BR-3 (Lane 4), MCF7 (Lane 5), HUVEC (Lane 6), SK-O-V3 (Lane 7), PANC-1 (Lane 8), SW480 (Lane 9) Mouse Placenta (Lane 10) and Mouse Stomach (Lane 11), were electrophoresed using NuPAGE™ 4-12% Bis-Tris Protein Gel (Product # NP0321BOX). Resolved proteins were then transferred onto a Nitrocellulose membrane (Product # LC2002) by iBlot® 2 Dry Blotting System (Product # IB21001). The blot was probed with the primary antibody (1:1000 dilution) and detected by chemiluminescence with Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) Superclonal™ Recombinant Secondary Antibody, HRP (Product # A27036,1:4000 dilution) using the iBright FL 1000 (Product # A32752). Chemiluminescent detection was performed using Novex® ECL Chemiluminescent Substrate Reagent Kit (Product # WP20005).SK-BR-3 and Stomach are expected to be a low VEGFR1 expressing model as reported.
