Description

Clervonafusp Alfa (also known as ATB200) is an investigational, next-generation enzyme replacement therapy for Pompe disease, particularly the late-onset form. It is not a traditional immunotherapeutic bispecific antibody, but rather an enzyme-fusion protein designed to overcome the limitations of current therapies. The drug consists of a recombinant human acid alpha-glucosidase (rhGAA) enzyme covalently linked to a cell-penetrating antibody fragment (Fab). This innovative design aims to significantly improve the delivery of the therapeutic enzyme into the primary affected cells¡ªskeletal and cardiac muscle cells¡ªthereby enhancing glycogen clearance and potentially improving clinical outcomes.
