Experimental details

HeLa cells were fixed with 1% paraformaldehyde (PFA) for 10 minutes at 37°C, permeabilized with 0.5% Triton X-100 buffer for 10 minutes at room temperature and blocked for 30 minutes at room temperature with 5% fetal bovine serum (FBS). Then the cells were stained with 5 µg/mL anti-Cytochrome c (clone 6H2.B4) Alexa Fluor® 594 overnight and Phalloidin Alexa Fluor® 488 (green) for 20 minutes at 4°C. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue). This image was acquired with a 60X objective.
