- Anti-NPM1 polyclonal antibody
- Antibody type
- Polyclonal
- Description
- Nucleophosmin (NPM), also known as, Nucleolar phosphoprotein B23 or Nucleolar protein NO38 or Numatrin, and encoded by the gene names NPM1 or NPM, is mainly located within the nucleolar granular compartment, where preribosomes are assembled. NPM1 is a multifunctional protein that is overexpressed in actively proliferating cells and cancer cells. Antibodies against NPM1 might be useful for recognition of human peripheral lymphocytes at early stages of their activation for proliferation, preceding the S-phase. By parallel immunolabeling with the anti-Ki-67 antibody, it was shown that the early changes of NPM1 amount and localization occurred before an appearance of Ki-67 protein, a well-known marker of proliferating cell.

- Storage
- Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt. Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol containing solutions to become frozen during storage.
