Description

Rabbit polyclonal antibody to B2M. The protein belongs to the beta-2-microglobulin family, and it is component of the class I major histocompatibility complex (MHC), is involved in the presentation of peptide antigens to the immune system. Defects in B2M are the cause of hypercatabolic hypoproteinemia (HYCATHYP). Mutations in this gene can enhance the progression of malignant melanoma phenotypes.
