- Description
- Description: The AER-37 monoclonal antibody reacts with the Fc epsilon RI alpha subunit, an IgE-binding subunit lacking signal-transducing ability. Fc epsilon RI apha is expressed on mast and basophil cells and is upregulated by the presence of IgE. Fc epsilon RI alpha forms a tetrameric complex with one beta and two gamma subunits. The beta and gamma subunits possess immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motifs (ITAM). The Fc epsilon RI complex plays an important role in triggering IgE-mediated allergic reactions. Applications Reported: AER-37 has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: The AER-37 (CRA1) antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of peripheral blood cells. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 µg per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
