- Description
- Description: The monoclonal antibody 2G7 reacts to CD84, a transmembrane protein of the Ig SLAM superfamily. Expression of CD84 is found on mature B cells, a subset of T cells (mainly CD4+CD45RA+), monocytes and platelets. CD84 is found on a percentage of human hematopoietic progenitor (CD34+) cells. Signaling through CD84 via homotypic interactions involves phosphorylation and recruitment of SAP and EAT-2 leading to production of IFNgamma and T cell activation. Applications Reported: This 2G7 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis and immunohistology staining of frozen tissue sections. Applications Tested: This 2G7 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.25 µg per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
