Description

The antibody was first produced by purifying CD79b from WEHI231 B cells. It was then used to immunize the footpads of an Armenian hamster. This antibody specifically targets an extracellular epitope of CD79b. Antibodies that target human CD79, whether alone or combined with potent cytotoxic agents, have shown effectiveness in killing human B cell lymphoma cells in both laboratory settings and in mouse chimeras.
