Description

Iladatuzumab vedotin (development code DCDS-0780A) is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed for the treatment of B-cell malignancies. It is composed of a humanized immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1) monoclonal antibody targeting human CD79B, which is covalently linked to the potent cytotoxic agent monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE) via a protease-cleavable linker. This ADC functions as a targeted chemotherapy agent. The antibody component binds specifically to CD79B on the surface of malignant B cells. Upon binding and internalization, the ADC is trafficked to lysosomes where the linker is cleaved, releasing the MMAE payload. MMAE then disrupts microtubule polymerization, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, thereby selectively killing CD79B-positive tumor cells.
