- Purified anti-human APCDD1 (DRAPC1)
- Antibody type
- Monoclonal
- Antigen
- Human APCDD1-His.
- Description
- APCDD1 (adenomatosis polyposis coli down-regulated 1), also known as B7323, DRAPC1, or FP7019, is a 514 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein. APCDD1 is expressed in the gastrointestinal track, placental trophoblasts, and both epidermal and dermal compartments from human hair follicles. It is also weakly expressed in lymphoid tissues. APCDD1 has been reported to be directly regulated by the beta-catenin/ITF-2 complex and that its elevated expression promotes the proliferation of colonic epithelial cells. It is thought to function as a developmental target of the beta-catenin pathway and may play an important role in colorectal tumorigenesis. Recently, it was found to negatively regulate Wnt signaling in a cell-autonomous manner.

- Human colon adenocarcinoma cell line (SW480) cells were fixed with 1% paraformaldehyde (PFA) and blocked with 5% FBS for 30 minutes. Then the cells were stained with 10 µg/ml purified anti-human APCDD1/DRAPC1 (clone 7.13) (red) at room temperature for three hours in the dark followed by 2.5 µg/ml DyLight™ 594 anti-mouse IgG staining for two hours at 4°C (red). Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue). The image was captured with a 40X objective.
