- Human CNTFR alpha Antibody
- Antibody type
- Polyclonal
- Description
- Immunogen affinity purified. Detects human CNTF R alpha in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In Western blots, greater than 50% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat CNTF sR alpha is observed and less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) IL-2 sR gamma and rhIL-6 sR is observed.

- CNTF R alpha Enhancement of CNTF-dependent Cell Proliferation and Neutral-ization by Human CNTF R alpha Antibody. Recombinant Human CNTF R alpha (Catalog # 303-CR) enhances Recom-binant Human CNTF (Catalog # 257-NT) induced proliferation in the TF-1 human erythroleukemic cell line in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). Enhancement of Recombinant Human CNTF (20 ng/mL) activity elicited by Recom-binant Human CNTF R alpha (1 µg/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Goat Anti-Human CNTF R alpha Antigen Affinity-purified Poly-clonal Antibody (Catalog # AF-303-NA). The ND50 is typically 10-20 µg/mL.
