Description

Arachidonate 15-lipoxygenase (15-LOX or 15-LOX-1), also kown as, Arachidonate omega-6 lipoxygenase or 12/15-lipoxygenase or Arachidonate 12-lipoxygenase, leukocyte-type (12-LOX), and encoded by the gene name(s), ALOX15 or LOG15, catalyzes the stereo-specific peroxidation of free and esterified polyunsaturated fatty acids generating a spectrum of bioactive lipid mediators. ALOX15 localizes to the cytoplasm and is detected in monocytes and eosinophils (at the protein level). ALOX15 is also expressed in airway epithelial cells.

Storage

Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt. Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol containing solutions to become frozen during storage.
