Description

The antibody targets SLC6A7, solute carrier family 6 member 7. SLC6A7 is the light subunit of a cationic amino acid transporter. This sodium-independent transporter is formed when the light subunit encoded by this gene dimerizes with the heavy subunit transporter protein SLC3A2. It is found in epithelial cell membranes and transfers cationic and large neutral amino acids from the cell to the extracellular space. Defects in this gene are a cause of lysinuric protein intolerance. This mouse monoclonal antibody, specific for human antigens and suitable for ELISA, assists in studying the functions of SLC6A7 in amino acid transport and its potential role in related metabolic disorders.
