Description

The antibody targets SLC39A11, solute carrier family 39 member 11. Zinc plays a crucial role as a cofactor for numerous enzymes, nuclear factors, and hormones, as well as serving as an intracellular and intercellular signal ion. SLC39A11 is a member of the LIV-1 subfamily of the ZIP transporter family and functions as a zinc transporter. Mutations in this gene have been associated with the spondylocheiro dysplastic form of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. This mouse monoclonal antibody, specific for human antigens and suitable for ELISA, helps in studying the functions of SLC39A11 in zinc transport and its potential role in connective tissue disorders.
