Description

Simlukafusp alfa (FAP-IL2v) is an engineered immunocytokine consisting of a human IgG1 antibody targeting fibroblast activation protein alpha (FAP¦Á) fused to an interleukin-2 variant (IL-2v). The IL-2v is designed to selectively bind to IL-2 receptor ¦Â¦Ã subunits (IL-2R¦Â¦Ã) with minimal affinity for the IL-2R¦Á subunit (CD25), thereby preferentially expanding effector T and NK cells while avoiding activation of regulatory T cells. It is being developed for the treatment of solid tumors with fibrotic stroma, such as pancreatic cancer and melanoma.
