Description

Valanafusp (AGT-181) is a chimeric IgG1 kappa fusion protein composed of a human insulin receptor (INSR)-targeting monoclonal antibody linked to the enzyme iduronidase (IDUA). It targets the insulin receptor (INSR) on brain endothelial cells to facilitate transport across the blood-brain barrier (BBB) via receptor-mediated transcytosis, while the IDUA component aims to restore enzymatic activity in the central nervous system (CNS) and peripheral tissues of patients with Mucopolysaccharidosis type I (MPS I).
