Description

Fletikumab was an investigational monoclonal antibody being developed by Novo Nordisk A/S for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It functioned as a targeted cytokine inhibitor, specifically designed to bind and neutralize interleukin-20 (IL-20). By blocking the activity of IL-20, fletikumab aimed to inhibit the pro-inflammatory and tissue-destructive pathways driven by this cytokine in the joints of RA patients. However, development of fletikumab was discontinued after Novo Nordisk made a strategic decision to cease research and development activities in the inflammation therapeutic area.
