Description
Ocaratuzumab (also known as AME-133v or LY2469298) is a humanized, Fc-engineered monoclonal antibody that targets CD20, a B-cell surface antigen. Its Fc region is engineered (with enhanced affinity for Fc¦ÃRIIIa) to potentiate antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) against CD20-positive B cells. Compared to the first-generation anti-CD20 antibody rituximab, ocaratuzumab is designed to provide stronger ADCC, particularly in patients carrying the lower-affinity Fc¦ÃRIIIa-158F polymorphism. It was developed as a potential therapy for B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and was evaluated in clinical trials for relapsed/refractory follicular lymphoma, but its development has been discontinued.
