- Western blot analysis of Desmin by a Desmin monoclonal antibody (Product # PA5-19063) at a concentration of 1 µg/mL. Human (A), Mouse (B), Rat (C) and Pig (D) Skeletal Muscle lysate (35µg protein in RIPA buffer). Detected by chemiluminescence.

- Western blot was performed using Anti-Desmin Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-19063) and a 55 kDa bands corresponding to Desmin was observed in Mouse Skeletal Muscle, Rat Skeletal Muscle, Cardiomyocytes, C2C12 and RD cell line but not in Mouse Kidney. An isoform at 45 kDa was also observed in Cardiomyocyte, C2C12 and RD cell line. Tissue extracts (30 µg lysate) of Mouse Skeletal Muscle (Lane 1), Rat Skeletal Muscle (Lane 2) and Mouse Kidney (Lane 4)and Whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of Cardiomyocytes (Lane 3), C2C12 (Lane 5) and RD (Lane 6) were electrophoresed using Novex® NuPAGE® 4-12 % Bis-Tris gel (Product # NP0321BOX). Resolved proteins were then transferred onto a nitrocellulose membrane (Product # IB23001) by iBlot® 2 Dry Blotting System (Product # IB21001). The blot was probed with the primary antibody (1 ug/ml) and detected by chemiluminescence with Rabbit anti-Goat IgG (H+L), Superclonal™ Recombinant Secondary Antibody, HRP (Product # A27014, 1:4000 dilution) using the iBright FL 1000 (Product # A32752). Chemiluminescent detection was performed using Novex® ECL Chemiluminescent Substrate Reagent Kit (Product # WP20005).
