- Anti-Phospho-MEK1/MEK2 (Ser221) Polyclonal Antibody
- Antibody type
- Polyclonal
- Antigen
- Synthetic peptide
- Description
- PA1-26646 detects MEK1 + MEK2 (phospho S222) from human, mouse, and rat samples. PA1-26646 is expected to cross react with chicken, chimpanzee, and Xenopus laevis due to sequence homology. PA1-26646 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. The PA1-26646 immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to a portion of human MEK 1 + 2 containing serine 222. The sequence is conserved in many species including mouse, rat, chimp, chicken, frog, and others.

- Western blot detection of Phospho-MEK1 + MEK2 pSer221 in extracts prepared from NIH-3T3 cells left untreated (lane 1) or treated (lanes 2-5) with PDGF. Samples were resolved by SDS-PAGE on a 10% Tris-glycine gel and transferred to nitrocellulose. Membranes were blocked with a 5% BSA-TBST buffer overnight at 4ºC and probed using a Phospho-MEK1 + MEK2 pSer221 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA1-26646).

- Immunofluorescent analysis of Phospho-MEK1 + MEK2 pSer221 in mouse embryonic fibroblasts using a Phospho-MEK1 + MEK2 pSer221 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA1-26646) showing cell division. Blue represents chromosomes in anaphase of mitotic cell division. Green shows mitotic spindle expressing phosphorylated MEK1/2.
