Experimental details

Western blot analysis was performed on whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of A549 (Lane 1), HEK-293 (Lane 2) and Hep G2 (Lane 3). The blots were probed with FHIT Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody and detected by chemiluminescence using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) Superclonal Secondary Antibody, HRP conjugate. A 17 kDa band corresponding to FHIT was observed across the cell lines tested. In addition to the desired band a non specific band was observed in A549 and HEK-293. Known quantity of protein samples were electrophoresed using 4-12 % Bis-Tris gel. Resolved proteins were then transferred onto a nitrocellulose membrane. The membrane was probed with the relevant primary and secondary Antibody following blocking with 5% skimmed milk.
