- Protein A or G purified from hybridoma culture supernatant. Detects human NRG1-beta 1 in ELISAs. Recognizes an epitope found in the EGF-like domain of NRG1-beta 1 (amino acids 179-246). It also detects recombinant human SMDF (Sensory and Motor neuron-Derived Factor), but it does not recognize the EGF-like domain of human NRG1-alpha (amino acids 177-241). The epitope is present within amino acids 213-230 of human NRG1-beta 1. This segment is present in all NRG1 beta isoforms, GGF-2 (glial growth factor), and SMDF, but it is absent from NRG1-alpha , NDF43, and NRG1-gamma .
