- Purified anti-OCT2
- Antibody type
- Monoclonal
- Antigen
- Partial human OCT2 recombinant protein (1-200 aa)
- Description
- OCT2 is a member of the POU family of transcription factors that was found to be expressed predominantly in B lymphocytes, activated T lymphocytes, and neuronal cells. OCT2 binds to the conserved octamer DNA element, ATGCAAAT, which was discovered in the promoters and enhancers of immunoglobulin (Ig) genes. In addition to regulating Ig gene expression, OCT2 controls several B cell specific genes required for proliferation and differentiation, such as CD20, CD36, and CD79a. OCT2 was found to have different isoforms produced by alternative splicing. The OCT2 isoforms exert distinct functional activities and can act as transcriptional activators or repressors.

- Experimental details
- Total cell lysate from HepG2 cells was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose, and probed with purified monoclonal anti-OCT2 (clone 2B10B19) antibody. Proteins were visualized using an anti-mouse-IgG secondary conjugated to HRP and chemiluminescence detection.
