- IFN-beta in A549 Human Cell Line. IFN-beta was detected in immersion fixed A549 human lung carcinoma cell line using Mouse Anti-Human IFN-beta Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB8141) at 8 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm. - IFN-beta Inhibition of EMCV-induced Cytopathy and Neutralization by Human IFN-beta Antibody. Recombinant Human IFN-beta (Catalog # 8449-IF) reduces the Encephalomyocarditis Virus (EMCV)-induced cytopathy in the HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line in a dose-dependent manner (orange line), as measured by crystal violet staining. Inhibition of EMCV activity elicited by Recombinant Human IFN-beta (50 pg/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Human IFN-beta Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB8141). The ND50 is typically 0.2-1.2 μg/mL.
