Description

Recommended positive controls: rat brain, MDCK. This antibody stains clathrin-coated membranes at the plasma membrane, and in the Golgi region of methanol-fixed MDBK cells. By Western bloy on bovine and rat brain preparations, this antibody detects a major band of AP-1 at ~115 kDa and a minor component at ~110 kDa, and bands at ~104 and ~112 kDa representing AP2. The antibody reacts with polypeptides at ~100 kDa in bovine liver, human heart fibroblasts and MDBK cells, but not with any components in the 110-115 kDa range from these sources, or from rat PC12 cells, neuroblastoma or astrocytes.
