Description

Linavonkibart (also known as SRK-181) is a fully human monoclonal antibody designed to selectively bind to and inhibit the activation of latent transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF¦Â1). Unlike antibodies that target the active form of TGF¦Â or its receptors, linavonkibart specifically interacts with the latent complex, preventing its proteolytic activation and subsequent release of mature TGF¦Â1. This selective inhibition aims to block the TGF¦Â1-mediated immunosuppressive pathways within the tumor microenvironment while potentially minimizing systemic toxicity. It is under clinical investigation as a cancer immunotherapy, particularly in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors (e.g., anti-PD-1), for the treatment of advanced solid tumors.
