- Description
- Protein A or G purified from ascites. Reacts with multiple isoforms of human FGF R2 although it shows a marked preference for human FGF R2 (IIIb) isoforms in some assays as described below. In direct ELISAs, displays a three-fold preference for FGF R2 (IIIb) isoforms over (IIIc) isoforms. Shows approximately 50% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) FGF R2 isoforms and no cross-reactivity with any isoforms of recombinant human (rh) FGF R1 or rhFGF R3. In Western blots, shows approximately 25% cross-reactivity with rhFGF R2 (IIIc) isoforms, 100% cross-reactivity with all isoforms of rmFGF R2 and no cross-reactivity with any isoforms of rhFGF RI, rhFGF R3, or rhFGF R4. Neutralizes the bioactivity of rhFGF R2 (IIIb) isoforms.
