- Description
- Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.

- Sandwich ELISA analysis was performed using EGF Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Product # 701538) at 2 µg/mL. A ten point standard curve was plotted with full length active recombinant EGF protein as a standard with concentrations ranging from 0.3 pg/mL to 12.5 ng/mL. An Anti-EGF antibody conjugated to biotin was used as a detector at a concentration of 2 µg/mL. A non-linear regression analysis (4 PL) was performed and LOD and LOQ for the antibody pair was determined.

- Immunocytochemistry analysis of Human PBMCs stained with EGF Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Product # 701538) using Alexa Fluor® 488 Goat anti-Rabbit as a secondary antibody ("a", green) and DAPI to stain the nuclei ("b", blue). A composite image of cells showing nuclear and epidermal localization of EGF is also shown ("c").
