- Description
- DDX3 is a member of DEAD box family which is RNA helicases characterized by a conserved motif of D-E-A-D (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) amino acid sequence. DDX3 is implicated in many cellular processes, such as altering RNA secondary structure and , export of HIV-1 viral transcripts, HCV viral RNA replication. DDX3 has potential importance in both cancer, and viral infection as well as its roles in numerous cellular processes, such as embryogenesis, spermatogenesis and cellular growth and proliferation.
